April came in fast and furious as well! How the time has been zooming.
The boys and our super fun egg decorating tradition. The weather accommodated outside works this year.
I was going to make rainbow Jello for St. Patrick's day. But woke up that morning (a Monday) totally oblivious to the date, and forgot. Therefore I made it a few weeks later. And it was SO PRETTY!
Nathan wanted to participate in the science fair this year. He worked on it for weeks. He took white flower and put them in colored water to see what would happen. He must have interviewed very well as he took 3rd place in his age group!! We were proud of the kiddo. He and I had a bit of nerves when we saw just HOW many 'colored flowers' made their way into the gym to be set up.
Ashton helps me with the garden by smashing up egg shells. We scatter them between the furrows to deter bugs and to add calcium to the soil.
Nathan and Ashton both took soccer this year. Nathan improved GREATLY this season, making several goals and being a great defensive player. Ashton first year was a learning one. He mostly picked grass and flitted about the field, very rarely paying attention to what was happening in the game. We'll see if he plays next year... 2 practices and 2 games to coordinate every week was a new challenge.
We hit the snow cone place near Albertson's. You are seeing the small size snow cone. It was huge, and we all suffered sugar belly aches after eating them. Next time we will all share one and have PLENTY of treat.
Easter Morning. Dad and Lenore were staying with us, which was so nice! The boys got cute treats from the bunny and enjoyed an egg hunt in the back yard. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has been a favorite gift from the Easter Bunny. The boys sing it so spunkily! NQ was singing it the other day while he scrubbed down the bathrooms.
One Sunday Morning I woke up to this cute snugly crew.
I was able to create this beautiful cake for the Bishop's daughter's wedding. I was glad to be a small contributor to the gorgeous affair.
Easter dinner was at the Shepherd's House!! SO FUN! They had cute lamb shaped butters, ham, cheesy happy anytime potatoes, salads, chocolate covered strawberries, cute peep kabobs for the boys and another egg hunt. I brought rolls and eclairs. YUM! I LOVE this family! :D
