The ZINGERS Album

While searching through the Cabin Cupboard, we came across some Hostess Zingers. For some bizarre reason, I felt like I should photograph every family member holding the Hostess Zinger box and then document it.

Here you have it: December 2012 - the last time that HOSTESS will be giving us Zingers, as they closed down in November due to a bakers union strike.

Ashton and Devlin were the only people who actually wanted to consume one. So I imagine next Christmas, there will still be six or so Zingers still perfectly packaged and preserved for use.

(Please not that Ashton and Devlin are both under age 3 at the time. Anyone older than that, including Olivia who is 4.5 and Nathan who is 6, had better sense in choosing a snack.)

After some conversation, Shane had Grandpa Barney convinced that they were likely worth some money - and Grandpa became a little perturbed at me when I unwrapped one for Ashton. P.S. The box was Already open, and Zingers missing from the box at time of discussion.

When they looked up on Ebay the going prices, I *think* he chilled out some about Ashton eating his profits.

New Years Eve with the Barney Fam!

The Barney's were back in Lander by New Year's Eve! We enjoyed presents, Chinese Food, Games (the Awkward Family Photo's game) and the kids played happily for hours!! Olivia was feeling a little yucky, and Grandpa Barney was getting the crud by then too. However, i was finally starting to feel pretty good! We had a fun night, and with the Barney's home I was able to finish my mini "Zinger Album Project!"

1st Lost Tooth, Snow day

The Last Sunday in December we sat in Church and NQ calmly look over to announce to his father than he had a loose tooth. Shane told me, and the next time I looked over (less than two minutes later) he was proudly showing holding it up in his hands looking at it. NQ's first tooth, out, in church in Lander. Very fun! Ashton too - got into the spirit of showing us his teeth. I embarrassed to admit that the Tooth Fairy STILL hasn't come (several weeks later) and that NQ now has another loose tooth. He's expecting a large golden coin from the TF, and I guess the TF will have to find some Pesos, or a Canadian Quarter, or the like to deliver!!

Next day we had a snow day - after a week of being sick and cooped up in the Cabin (trying to break fever's and heal up) we went for a sledding/outdoor day. We stayed out for a little over an hour, playing on the sled and slide.
